How to play Whodunit
Goal
- Find out what happened by answering the case's questions, one after another.
How it works
- The narrator introduces the case and the suspects. The scene and the suspects stay in your case file.
- The sheets are dealt across your team's phones. Only the phone holding a sheet can read it: pass it with Give, or Ask a teammate for theirs. A request left unanswered for 30 seconds lets you take the sheet.
- Your team answers one question at a time, from 6 to 8 choices. Anyone on the team can send the answer, so agree first.
- A wrong choice is crossed out and locks your team: 30 seconds the first time in Chill (1 minute in Race), twice as long for each further wrong choice on the same question.
- Each question has one hint. It's free in Chill and costs a 90-second lock in Race.
- At the end the narrator tells the truth, and every sheet and answer opens for everyone.
Chill or Race
- Chill: one team of 1 to 8 players, no clock. The summary shows your time, wrong answers and hints.
- Race: 2 to 6 teams of 2 to 5 on the same case, with a time limit. Every team's wrong choices are crossed out for all. The first team to answer everything wins; the others play on to the end.
