Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 November 2026
GatherPlay is a personal project run by an individual developer, not by a company. These are the rules for using it, kept short on purpose. In these terms, “we” means the person who runs GatherPlay.
What GatherPlay is
GatherPlay is a set of free party games you play in your browser: one shared screen and a phone for each player. You can play as a guest, with no account, or sign in with Google (optional) to keep your history, coins and mascot. There is no company or legal entity behind GatherPlay. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Who can have an account
Anyone can play as a guest. An account is for people who are 16 or older, or 13 to 15 with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. If you are under 13, play as a guest only and do not create an account. If you are a parent or guardian and think a child made an account without permission, tell us (see Contact) and we will delete it.
Playing fair
Keep GatherPlay fun for everyone in the room. Please do not:
- use nicknames, chat messages or drawings that harass, threaten or insult other people, or that spread hate against someone for who they are;
- post sexual content, illegal content, or anything you have no right to share;
- spam, advertise, or share other people’s private details;
- cheat, or use a tool that plays or writes messages for you;
- use bots, scripts or other automated means, or abuse the service, for example by flooding it with requests or rooms;
- attack, probe, overload or try to break the service, or reach data that is not yours.
Your content
Your nickname, chat messages and drawings are shown to the other people in your room. You keep your rights to them. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people in the room, as needed to run the game. We may also read chat to review abuse; the Privacy page says how long things are kept. We may remove content, remove a member from a room, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules. A host can also remove people from their own room.
Coins and items
Coins, mascots and items are virtual and only part of the game. You earn coins by playing and collecting badges; they cannot be bought with real money. They have no money value and cannot be exchanged, sold or given to anyone else. We may change how coins are earned, what items cost and which items exist. When an account is deleted, its coins and items are deleted with it.
The service as it is
GatherPlay is free and provided “as is”, with no promise that it will always work, be free of errors, or keep your data. It may change, go down for a while, or end at any time. As far as the law allows, we give no warranty and are not responsible for losses that come from using it or not being able to use it. Nothing here limits rights that the law says cannot be limited.
Ending or deleting your account
You can stop using GatherPlay at any time. To delete your account, go to Settings & data on your profile page and choose Delete account: it deletes the account, its results, badges, coins and items. The Privacy page explains what is deleted and what is kept. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using GatherPlay after a change, you accept the new version. Accounts that already exist are not asked again, so check this page from time to time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam. If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out.
